Deqing, Zhejiang, November 5-7 – The Second China Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information Convention concluded successfully. Under the theme "Technological Integration and Intelligent Innovation, New Quality Productive Forces for Industry Development, Beidou Serving the Globe," the event highlighted China's commitment to technological self-reliance and independent innovation.   Independent and Secure Software Platform Draws Significant Attention

From November 5th to 7th, at Hall 3 of the Deqing International Exhibition Center, MapGIS themed its exhibition around the "Independent, Secure, and Controllable GIS Platform," systematically showcasing its technological achievements and practical applications in developing such a platform. As a fully domestically developed GIS software platform, MapGIS handles data aggregation, governance, and application across full spatial domains – air, ground, marine, and subsurface – providing solutions and digital services for sectors like natural resources, geology and mining, and smart cities, thereby empowering national digital transformation. The booth attracted a steady stream of forum guests and attendees eager for consultations. Staff detailed MapGIS's development journey and the platform's widespread application across critical industries.

Representatives from various provincial associations, including the Zhejiang and Shanxi Surveying, Mapping, and Geographic Information, actively visited the MapGIS booth for technical and business exchanges.

   Forum Explores Spatial Intelligence and Digital Transformation

The sub-forum on "The Application Practices of Spatial Intelligent Digital Base and Digital-Intelligent Transformation," hosted by MapGIS, concluded successfully on the morning of November 7th in Hall E301. The forum featured opening addresses from Wang Zengning, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Association for Geographic Information Society; Shen Yunhua, Director of the Comprehensive Survey Command Center for Natural Resources, China Geological Survey; and Zhang Liang, President of MapGIS, all expressing strong confidence in the forum's success.

Eight experts, including Li Fengdan from the China Geological Survey and Chen Xueye from the Shenzhen Planning and Natural Resources Data Management Center, delivered presentations from their professional perspectives, systematically elaborating on the application practices of spatial intelligent digital bases and digital-intelligent transformation.

Domestic GIS Pioneer Secures Top Honors

The convention recognized outstanding achievements through several key awards, including the 2025 Geographic Information Science and Technology Progress Award and the 2025 Top 100 Geographic Information Enterprises. MapGIS secured multiple accolades. Projects it participated in, such as those focusing on digital-intelligent planning in complex scenarios, a full-space intelligent natural resources platform, and distributed geological big data storage, won second prizes for Geographic Information Scientific and Technological Progress. Several other projects involving its technology were awarded Excellent Geographic Information Industry Projects. Furthermore, three MapGIS products received the 2025 Independent Innovation Product certification, and the company was ranked among the industry's top 100 enterprises.
